September is here, and our community have another busy month ahead of them before the final push of 2026. Food brands have the opportunity to attend a meet the buyer event hosted by The Gorgeous Food Co, and applications are now open for our London pop-up shop taking place in December.
Member spotlight: Monique Thomas
Meet Monique Thomas, a London-based graphic designer and the founder of Be The Other, a multi-wear accessories brand.
Be The Other started from Monique’s love of fashion, but also from a frustration with how easy it is to feel like you constantly need something new to wear.
She has always loved accessories, particularly brooches, and started experimenting with ways to use them to change and personalise clothes she already owned.
That idea eventually grew into a business. She’s still figuring things out as she goes, but that’s one of the things she enjoys most about building the brand – there’s always another idea to explore.
