The Growth and Sustainability Loan Scheme has doubled to €1 billion and will run until June 2029. You can borrow from €25,000 to €3 million over seven to 10 years, and loans up to €500,000 need no security. SMEs, small mid-caps, farmers, foresters and fishers are all eligible.
AIB, Bank of Ireland and PTSB are taking applications now, with Close Brothers and Finance Ireland due to follow in the coming weeks. The first €500 million backed nearly 2,000 businesses at an average of about €220,000, with 79% of lending going outside Dublin. Planning a green upgrade? At least 30% of lending is earmarked for sustainability projects, which qualify for an extra discount.
